PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for driving a sewing hoop which reduces the amount of the stretch of a driving belt by driving a sewing hoop in a well- balanced manner and hardly reduces motion response of the sewing hoop despite the long whole length of the sewing hoop. SOLUTION: The device for driving a sewing hoop includes a driving frame 11, two driving pulleys 13 provided respectively at both ends of the driving frame 11 and rotating around an axis line in parallel to the width of the driving frame 11, two driven pulleys 14 provided in the lengthwise direction of the driving frame 11 at an interval and rotating around an axis line in parallel to the width of the driving frame 11, a motor 21 connected to two driving pulley 13 respectively, and two driving belts 15 put around respectively between the driving pulley 13 and the driven pulley 14 located next each other. Connecting members 16 which respectively connect parts of two driving belts 15 and the both ends in the lengthwise direction of the sewing hoop 9 are provided.
