摘要 PURPOSE: A high efficiency settling tank is provided, which can minimize retention time of sludge at center storage tank(2) by feeding raw water through the tank(2) and causing eddy flow thus initially coagulating the sludge. The system can also prevent sludge rising by forming middle diffusion layer at the middle of the tank(1) thus preventing contamination of supernatant water, which is enabled by installing rotary distributing plate(6) that rotates at low speed at the bottom of center storage tank(2). CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a conically bottomed cylindrical tank(settling tank)(1), a weir(111) set around the top edge, a center storage tank(2) that is set at the center top with a height that is about half of the settling tank(1), a raw water inlet(22) and a scraper(3). At the center of the settling tank(1), a shaft having scraper(3) at the bottom is rotationally installed and is driven by motor(32). Raw water enter the center storage tank(2) through a horizontal raw water inlet(22) and come out through a slot(5) formed between the bottom edge of the center storage tank(1) and a rotary distributing plate(6) that has many arc blades and is installed to the shaft. Supernatant water is collected at the collecting part(11) formed at the weir(111), and sludge is collected at a bottom bucket(13).
