PURPOSE: A device for opening/closing a lid of a washing machine is provided to make the opening and closing of the lid smooth, and reduce noise due to the collision between the lid and the top cover by applying the rotation momentum in the lid-closing direction. CONSTITUTION: A device for opening/closing a lid of a washing machine is employed to a rear part of a lid(12) for the coupling of the lid with a top cover(11). The lid opening/closing device includes a hinge part(51) mounted at a position apart from a rear end of the lid toward a main body by a predetermined distance when the lid is closed. A pressing element(52) for applying a restoring force to the lid has an end(52a) fixed to the rear end of the lid and the other end(52b) fixed to the top cover apart from the one end part by a predetermined distance backward.
