PURPOSE: Provided is a heat shrinkable polyester film, which does not generate wrinkling, staining and deformation by shrinking, and is low in the reduction of cold shrinkage with time, when used in a full label of a bottle. CONSTITUTION: The heat shrinkable polyester film is characterized in that a heat shrinkage is 30-60% in the main shrinking direction after treating with hot water of 70 deg.C for 5 seconds; a heat shrinkage is 65% or more in the main shrinking direction after treating with hot water of 85 deg.C for 5 seconds; a heat shrinkage is 10% or less in the orthogonal direction to the main shrinking direction after treating with hot water of 85 deg.C for 5 seconds; the heat shrinkage of the film after the storage for 1 month at 25 deg.C is 25% or more in the main shrinking direction after treating with hot water of 70 deg.C for 5 seconds; and the thickness distribution is 6% or less.
