<p>PURPOSE: A discard procedure of a service data unit(SDU) in a radio link control(RLC) is provided, which can prevent a protocol error generation during an SDU discard procedure. CONSTITUTION: According to the discard procedure, a transmitter part receives information of an SDU to discard from an upper layer, and then a sequence number(SN_MRWi) and a VT(MS) of a corresponding PDU(Protocol Data Unit) are compared. As a result of the comparison, if the sequence number is larger than VT(MS), the corresponding SDU is not discarded and the comparison between the sequence number and the VT(MS) is repeated as increasing "i" value until there is no SDU to discard. And if there is SN_MRWi to transmit, then MRW is transmitted, and otherwise, the discard process of the transmitter part is ended as not transmitting MRW. In a receiver part receiving a discard command of SDU0-SDU2, SDU0-SDU2 are discarded and an acknowledge(ACK) response as to the SDU discard command is performed to the transmitter part as moving a receiver window downward. Then, VR(R)=2 and VR(MR)=9, and because VT(MS) of the transmitter part is 9, a discard command of SDU3 can be sent again.</p> |
