PURPOSE: To lower the peak of the voltage applied across the switching element of a resonance power unit and, at the same time, to reduce the switching loss of the switching element. CONSTITUTION: A serial circuit composed of a main resonance circuit 2a, an auxiliary resonance circuit 2b0 , and a switching element S1 is connected between across a DC power source E. A load Z is connected to the circuit 2a through an inductor L2 , and the switching element S1 is switched at a frequency slightly higher than the resonance frequency of the circuit 2a. The resonance frequency of the circuit 2b0 is set at a value (4m-1) times (where, m is a natural number) as high as that of the circuit 2a. |
