The present invention discloses an automotive parasol for exterior use; being an automotive solar protector which includes various benefits and excludes the inconvenient presented by "exterior car covers" and by "interior curtain- type parasols". The automotive parasol for exterior use is easy to mount and dismount by the user, having three different modalities: automotive parasol with self-roll-up mechanism; automotive parasol with automatic folding and deployment mechanism; and automotive parasol with retractile pleating mechanism. This invention is laudable for people who work in places where there are no roofed parking lots for their vehicles, and/or that may require using their vehicle several times a day and park said vehicles unsheltered in periods of time of intermediate duration (1 to 8 hours). The automotive parasol for exterior use can be employed complementarily as a publicity or propagandistic mean and/or for protecting the unit from snow, dust, etc.
