PURPOSE: A connection flange of a cylindrical body of a heat exchanger is reinforced without using a reinforcing member preventing distortion of the connection flange and improving durability. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical body of a heat exchanger comprises a body(10) and a connection flange(11) formed at an end of the body to connect with the other casing. The damage to the sealing with the other casing by distortion of the connection flange is prevented without using a reinforcing body. The connection flange comprises a bent flange portion(11a) continuous with the body and an overlapping flange portion(11b) overlapping with the bent flange portion. A contacting portion(11c) to the body is formed in the overlapping flange portion. Outer force applied to the connection flange is received by the body through the contacting portion. Therefore, distortion of the connection flange is prevented.
