PURPOSE: A device and a method for supporting multiple channels of a digital image system are provided to minimize the number of frames lost by synchronization and to prevent compression efficiency when the multiple channel animated image is compressed. CONSTITUTION: A device for supporting multiple channels of a digital image system includes a switching part(200), a memory part(300), an image input part(400) and an image processing part(500). The switching part receives image signals input from at least one or more channels and performs switching action to the image signals. The memory part stores digital image signal switched in the switching part. The image input part receives the switched digital image signal stored in the memory part and converts the image signals into 1 bit signals of 1 frequency. The image processing part receives the converted signals and displays the image signals on an image display device.
