PURPOSE: A synchronous transfer network management system and a method of supplying information on a failed managing object using the same are provided to collect information on peripheral objects of a transfer path, and to analyze the information to supply analyzed results to a manager in graphics, thereby enabling the manager to quickly and exactly know a failed position and a cause of failure. CONSTITUTION: When a command of describing a failed managing object is performed(S310), an operating program decides the failed object(S320). If the failed object is a device, the operating program performs one of functions of describing a failed managing object screen(S320,S321,S322,S323). If the failed object is a line, a terminal retrieves line configuration details(S312), and obtains a line configuration sequential device list of retrieved transfer devices(S313). The terminal inquires into an alarm of the first transfer device in real time(S314). The terminal retrieves alarms of each transfer device(S315), and compares stored alarms with the obtained alarms, and if information is not the same, the terminal identifies the information to store the information in alarm DBs(S316). The terminal repeats the steps 'S314,S315,S316' until the device list becomes '0'(S317). The terminal describes situations of the failed managing object through a screen(S318). |
