PURPOSE: A method for managing an optical core institution is provided to obtain a bypass switching method and damage details by considering an optical core as one core and storing the core in a database when the optical core is connected continuously although the optical core passes through bifurcation. CONSTITUTION: If an idle core exists between upper and lower stations of a cutting core(S501), the idle core is switched(S509). If an idle core exists out of other cores between the upper and lower stations of a carrier accommodated in the cutting core(S502), the idle core is switched(S509). If an idle core exists out of other cores between the upper station of the cutting core and the lower station of the carrier or between the lower station of the cutting core and the upper station of the carrier(S503), the idle core is switched(S509). If an idle core exists out of other cores between upper and lower stations of the core when another local exists between upper and lower stations of the cutting core(S504), the idle core is switched(S509). If an idle core exists out of other cores between upper and lower stations of the carrier when another local exists between upper and lower stations of the cutting core(S505), the idle core is switched(S509). If an idle core exists out of other cores when another local exists between the upper station of the cutting core and the lower station of the carrier or between the lower station of the cutting core and the upper station of the carrier(S506), the idle core is switched(S509). If an idle core exists out of other cores between upper and lower stations of the cutting core or carrier when over two other local exist between upper and lower stations of the cutting core or carrier(S507), the idle core is switched(S509).
