PURPOSE: A semi-active muffler of a vehicle is provided to achieve improved engine output in a high speed area by reducing the repulsive elastic force of the torsional spring and increasing the degree of opening of the valve. CONSTITUTION: A valve for a semi-active muffler opens by the pressure of the exhaust gas and is mounted in one of a plurality of pipes arranged within chambers of a case having a closed space for introduction of the exhaust gas. The valve includes a lower plate(1) mounted to an end of the pipe; an upper plate(2) spaced apart from the entrance of the lower plate; a torsional spring(3) for pressing the upper plate, while accommodating the hinge pin for coupling the lower and upper plates; and a turn-over spring(4) supported by the lower and upper plates.
