PURPOSE: A variable cooling fan used in a vehicle is provided to improve cooling efficiency of the variable cooling fan by varying a length of rotating blades depending on a temperature of cooling water. CONSTITUTION: A variable cooling fan includes a cylindrical boss, into which a rotating shaft of a driving device is inserted. A plurality of rotating blades(32) is disposed around the boss. A first space(33) is formed in the rotating blades(32). A first slot(34) is formed at an end of the rotating blades(32). One end of a first variable fan(40) is inserted into the first slot. The first variable fan(40) is accommodated in the first space(33). When an ambient temperature of the first variable fan(40) increases, the first variable fan(40) extends through the first slot(34). A second space(42) is formed in the first variable fan(40) and a second slot(44) is formed at an end of the first variable fan(40). A second variable fan(50) is inserted into the second slot(44).
