PURPOSE: A fuel supply apparatus is provided to achieve improved starting ability of engine by immediately supplying fuel to the injection pump when the engine is turned off due to the fuel insufficiency. CONSTITUTION: A fuel supply apparatus comprises a fuel amount sensor(7) for sensing the level of the fuel in a fuel filter(4) and transmitting signals in accordance with the sensed result; an electronic control unit(8) for receiving the signals from the fuel amount sensor, judging whether the fuel is insufficient or not, and turning on a relay(12) if it is judged as a fuel insufficiency; and an auxiliary pump(13) which operates by the on/off operation of the relay, pumps the fuel contained in a fuel tank(1) when the relay is connected to a circuit and continues to pump until the fuel filter is fully filled with the fuel.
