The symbol comprises at least one sub-carrier modulated with data, and a number of second sub-carriers modulated by reference signals. Measurement of phase shift in the second sub-carriers enables estimation of the phase shift in the first signal, and consequently enables correction of this phase shift. The reception procedure receives a symbol transmitted on a transmission channel, the symbol comprising at least one sub-carrier modulated with data, and a number of second sub-carriers modulated by reference signals. The reference signals have a predetermined phase difference between them at transmission. At reception, at least two sub-carriers are selected (EF440) from amongst the sub-carriers, and the phase difference between them is measured (EF460). From this measurement, and estimate is made (EF470) of the phase shift occurring in the first sub-carrier and one of the second sub-carriers. The phase of the first sub-carrier is then corrected on the basis of this estimation.
