<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a format converting device and a format converting method capable of reproducing a data stream even with a DVD video player by making it possible to easily convert the data stream in a RTR format into a data stream in a DVD video format and to record the data stream. SOLUTION: This format converting device for converting a data stream of a first format with time stamp information added thereto into a data form of a second format, converts the time stamp information added to the data stream of the first format so as to correspond to the data form of the second format and records the converted time stamp information in recording media 10 and 11.</p> |
