PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color plasma display panel having superior light transmittance by reducing electrostatic capacitance and exhaust resistance. SOLUTION: This color plasma display panel includes a face charge electrode which is formed with comb type bus electrodes 12 facing each other, and is assembled by a front substrate 1 and a rear substrate 2 disposed in face to face with each other. Here, the front substrate 1 is that a transparent dielectric layer 13 is formed only on the face discharge electrodes, and the rear substrate 2 has data electrodes 22, barrier ribs 24 and a phosphor layer 25. The space between the front substrate 1 and the rear substrate 2 is filled with discharge gas, and the comb type face charge electrodes of the front substrate 1 are formed with such a metal electrode as Ag.
