DRIVING CIRCUIT FOR STORABLE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a driving circuit for driving a storable liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: An oscillation circuit starts oscillating when /STB rises to a high level. In a power supply circuit, a DC-DC converter starts boosting voltage when /STB rises to the high level. When a predetermined period t1 has passed after the driving circuit receives a start request, the circuit starts write control of display data to a liquid crystal panel. When a predetermined period t2 has passed after a data write period ends, /STB is made to a low level. The oscillation circuit stops oscillating when /STB is made to the low level. Further, the DC-DC converter halts boosting operation in the power supply circuit.
