PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication device provided with a state model having a reset/suspend state. SOLUTION: The wireless communication device has a layer 2 interface designed as a finite state machine. The finite state machine has a null state, a data transmission state, a reset pending state, a local suspend state and a reset/suspend state. In the null state, no communication channel is established. In the other communication states, a communication channel is established with other communication device. The reset/suspend state explicitly supports both the reset pending state and the local suspend state so as to attain the state machine to transit to the next state without the need for recording a preceding state. |
