PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an appropriate threshold without sacrificing the transmission efficiency of data or without being greatly influenced by noise. SOLUTION: This device decides an I-axis area by comparing the I component of a multivalued QAM signal with a threshold for I axis, and obtains a division value by dividing the I component by the result of that division, and updates the above threshold for the I axis, based on the divisional value. Moreover, this decides a Q-axis area by comparing the Q-component of the multivalued QAM signal with a threshold for the Q axis and obtains a divisional value for the Q axis by dividing the Q component by the result of this decision, and updates the above threshold for the Q axis, based on the division value for the Q axis. |
