PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a space is necessary for sufficient diffusion between a light emitting source and a surface of a diffusing plate from which illuminating light exists, and it is difficult to shorten the space for reducing a thickness dimension of a light emitting surface of a light projecting means. SOLUTION: An optical information reader has a light source for projecting light on optical information, a light guiding plate with an irregular surface for guiding the light from the light source and radiating the light on the optical information, an image forming part for forming an image of reflected light from the optical information, and a sensor for capturing the image-formed light. |
