PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of preventing communication from being adversely affected by electromagnetic noise emitted from a display circuit of a display device when the display device communicates with another device. SOLUTION: A tuner part 13 fetches a television signal received by an antenna 12 as a channel signal, a UWB (ultra wide band) transmitting part 14 modulates the television signal with an ultrawideband impulse communication method, and the modulated channel signal is transmitted to the display device 3 through an antenna 15. In the display device 3, the channel signal is received by an antenna 21, subsequently demodulated by a USB receiving part 22 and outputted to a signal processing part 23. In the signal processing part 23, display and a sound output of an image/sound output circuit 24 are controlled on the basis of the channel signal. The antenna 21 and the USB receiving part 22 are housed in a pedestal 30.
