PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cassette wherein there is no fear of operation failures of a slider due to the fitting-in of a slider spring. SOLUTION: Regulation means (projected pieces) 20a, 20b are disposed on a wall surface 9a of a lower shell 4 on which the tips of the arm parts 13b, 13c of a slider spring 13 are abutted. Thus, the positions of the tips of the arm parts 13b, 13c are regulated, whereby the fitting-in of the tips of the arm parts 13b, 13c between the lower shell 4 and a slider 14 is prevented.
