PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow visual confirmation of a comparison result of a local color distribution condition or a comparison result of a detailed distribution condition through a pseudo three-dimensional display. SOLUTION: In this image processing method performing color distribution analysis using a pseudo three-dimensional display, first color distribution information showing a color coordinate value in a second color system matching a sample point regularly arranged in a first color system is obtained, and three- dimensional object surface information is formed from the first color distribution information. From the first color distribution information and the second color distribution information, object surface color information is computed, and pseudo three-dimensional display is carried out on the basis of the three- dimensional object surface information and the object surface color information.
