PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program information display device and a displaying method for integrating recorded programs and a reserved program to display the integrated recorded programs and reserved program and enabling a user to recognize contents of the reserved program at a glance. SOLUTION: If the reserved program is designated, a microcomputer downloads an image for a thumbnail corresponding to the reserved program together with program information such as a start time, an end time, and a channel, and stores the image for a thumbnail, and the program information in an information storing part (step S2). Nest, a modified image is prepared so as to be a thin picture by making contrast weak with respect to the downloaded image for a thumbnail and stored in the information storing part (step S3). The image for a thumbnail stored in the information storing part is displayed together with the program information.
