CHIP INDUCTOR AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip inductor superior in magnetic characteristic and magnetic shield effect wherein an exterior cover can be easily manufactured by using screen printing. SOLUTION: A drum core 2 is provided with a penetrated hole 14 with which a coil body 1 wound by a winding 5 is engaged. This manufacturing method includes a step for pallet insertion where a plate pallet 10, wherein the periphery of the penetrated hole 14 is made of elastic material, is used to engage the coil body 1 with the penetrated hole 14 of the pallet 10; a first paste filling step where resin paste 30 is applied by screen printing from one surface of the pallet 10 to the periphery of a wound core 4; and a second paste filling step where the pallet 10 is reversed and the resin paste 30 is applied by screen printing from the other surface of the pallet 10 to the periphery of the wound core 4. The resin paste 30 is made by mixing a thermosetting resin with ferrite globular powder and ferrite indeterminate powder.
