PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve light extraction efficiency, when extracting the light from the electrode side of a light-emitting diode. SOLUTION: The light-emitting diode for emitting light by allowing current to flow to an emission layer comprises a substrate, an emission layer formed on the substrate, a conductive layer formed on the emission layer, a pad formed on the conductive layer via a local insulating layer for mutual electrical insulation, a wiring electrode that is provided at the outside of the pad in the surface of the conductive layer and is electrically connected to the pad, as an electrode for supplying current to the emission layer, and a groove that is formed at least in the conductive layer and the emission layer between the pad and the wiring electrode, when viewed in plan view and prevents at least current from reaching the central section in the emission layer. |
