PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modulation effect device which generates a smooth random waveform of very-low frequency. SOLUTION: The modulation effect device comprises a noise generator, a band-pass filter, a modulator, a low-pass filter, and an audio frequency signal generator. Here, the modulator is a parallel modulator and/or ring modulator. The very-low frequency is a frequency below audio frequencies, or 0.01 to 50 Hz. The modulation effect device is incorporated in an electronic musical instrument and then a musical sound modulated with a random waveform has no periodic repetition and 'fluctuates' to sound natural. Vibrato effect, tremolo effect, growl effect, etc., can be imparted to the musical sound generated by the electronic musical instrument, so that a healing musical sound which is clear and natural can be obtained. |
