PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-burning counter-etching liquid which eliminates surface staining after a burning treatment and can impart a good lipid sensitization property and an excellent printing resistance improving effect to image areas and does not give rise to unevenness to the surface state after the burning, to provide a pre-burning counter-etching liquid which is suitable for automation by use of a processing machine of a spray circulation system or the like and to provide a plate making method capable of making a planographic printing plate which is free of defects in the image areas and exhibits excellent plate wear without the occurrence of staining in non-image areas. SOLUTION: The pre-burning counter-etching liquid containing soybean polysaccharides and the plate making method of subjecting the photosensitive planographic printing plate to exposure and development processing, then processing the plate with an aqueous solution containing the soybean polysaccharides then to a burning processing. |
