PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for correcting a temperature at the end of a fixing roller, by using simple constitution in an IHF fixing device, when a small-sized paper is fed. SOLUTION: Auxiliary windings are wound in reverse onto ferrite cores at both ends of a coil disposed in the center of a heating coil as an area, where the paper is not fed when the small size paper is fed. The permeability of the ferrite cores at both ends and the heating efficiency for the fixing roller, in an area where the paper is not fed are reduced by applying DC currents to the windings.
