PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual input device with a small size, light weight, and high knob operability. SOLUTION: This manual input device is composed of a knob 3; an actuator 2 loading the outer force to the nob 3; a detecting means 4 detecting an operating state of the knob 3; and a control means 8 controlling the drive of the actuator 2 based on an output signal (a) of the detecting means 4. The control means 8 has a computing part 83 computing the operation speed of the knob 3 from the output signal (a) of the detecting means 4; and a storage part 82 storing driving wave forms c1, c2, c3 of the actuator 2 corresponding to the output signal (a) of the detecting means 4. The computing part 83 corrects the driving wave forms c1, c2, c3 of the actuator 2 read out of the storage part 82 according to the operation speed of the knob 3 computed with the computing part 83, and the actuator is driven based on the corrected driving wave forms.
