PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a CPU execute a low power consumption operation in a proper timing in a portable telephone set. SOLUTION: When application software starts its operation, a library sets a timer value indicating the quiescent time of the operation of the application software, and a CPU performs a low power consumption operation whose power consumption is lower than the power consumption of a normal operation based on the timer value set by the library. Thus, it is possible to prevent any adverse influence on the application software as long as the application stops its operation, and it is possible for the CPU to properly execute the low power consumption operation, and it is possible to properly reduce the power consumption of the portable telephone set itself. |
