PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent surge of dc voltage by stopping switching operation of the boosting chopper circuit, and suppress the rise in the dc voltage and fall of power factor. SOLUTION: This motor controller is composed of the following circuits and means: a rectifying circuit and a smoothing circuit which convert an alternating current into a direct current; a power supply circuit, composed of a boosting circuit which improves power factor of the power source using the effect of energy accumulation by switching operation and inductance; a means of controlling a converter which controls switching operation of the boosting circuit, so that the source current becomes sine waves and deflection between dc voltage and command voltage becomes zero; a motor drive circuit which an inverter and a motor are connected to the output of the smoothing circuit; a location detection circuit which detects the location of a magnetic pole of the motor; a means of controlling an inverter, so that deflection between motor speed and command speed becomes zero; a means of sopping switching operation, which halts the operation of the switching element depending on the motor operation. |
