PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective member for a sheet-like thermally developable photosensitive material and a package for the sheet-like thermally developable photosensitive material using the protective member, wherein the piled sheet-like thermally developable photosensitive materials protected by the protective member are stored in a light shielding bag, and then, the sealed package is stored in the outer box, and the light shielding bag is prevented from being holed at handling, and to provide a method for manufacturing the package for the sheet-like thermally developable photosensitive material. SOLUTION: The tray type protective member for piling the sheet-like thermally developable photosensitive materials is made of thermoplastic resin, and the tray type protective member is provided with a rectangular base plate and side walls obtained by folding the peripheral edge parts of the base plate, and all the corners of the tray type protecting member are rounding-finished with an R of 6.0 to 12.0 mm.
