PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deform and move a designated vertex of a graphic in an optional hierarchical level in an assembly of graphics forming a hierarchy structure in a graphics editing method and a graphic editing device. SOLUTION: In this graphics editing method for editing hierarchical structure graphics, which are formed of the assembly of a plurality of graphics constructing the hierarchical structure, on the basis of designation inputted by a user via an input means, at least one point in a lower level positioned below a main hierarchical level is designated as a release point HP1 according to the designation by the user, and graphics excepting the graphic including the release point in the lower level are stored as fixed graphics information. The fixed information is displayed without any alteration, and only the graphic including the release point HP1 is moved, deformed, turned, or expanded homothetically independently of others in receipt of the user's designation. For example, in a graphics assembly representing a clock consisting of a plurality of graphics (a long hand, a short hand, and an hour plate), only one graphic (the long arm) can be shown in a turned form.
