PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save memory capacity, by properly deleting from a broadcast transmission destination list for broadcast transmission including transmission destinations, having different communication systems. SOLUTION: When performing broadcast transmission of image data, obtained by reading a manuscript by a reader 106 using electronic mails and facsimile transmissions, a memory 103 stores the broadcast transmission destination list including electronic mail addresses and facsimile numbers of the transmission destinations. When receiving instruction for the change of the transmission destination via an interface 108 or 109, the contents of the broadcast transmission destination list is changed, based on the change instruction. When the changed broadcast transmission destination list includes only electronic mail addresses but not the facsimile numbers, a CPU 101 deletes the broadcast transmission destination list form the memory 103.
