PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of picking up an image with a blur effect in an out-of-focus area of an object to be image-picked up. SOLUTION: In the digital camera provided with an image pickup lens 2 picking up the image of the object, a CCD image pickup element 3 photoelectrically converting an object image formed by the image pickup lens 2 and obtaining an image pickup signal and an image signal processing system 110 processing the image pickup signal outputted from the CCD image pickup element 3 and generating an image signal, the image signal processing system 110 is provided with a filtering processing circuit 116 for giving the blur effect to the image signal. The filtering processing circuit 116 is constituted of a digital filter and a CPU 101 changes and controls a filter coefficient of the digital filter on the basis of a focus area and an opening diameter of a diaphragm 23, etc. By filtering the image signal obtained by image pickup in the filtering processing circuit 116, the blur effect is given to the image displayed by the image signal, the need of performing a blur processing for the image after the image pickup by utilizing a computer or the like is eliminated and a digital photo with the blur effect is image-picked up only by the digital camera. |
