The viewing system consists of a pair of similar images (13G, 13D), e.g. on the left- and right-hand pages of a book, and a mechanical viewing aid in the form of a vertical rod (20) set on an adjustable supporting bar (21). The rod controls the view of the two images so that the lefthand image is seen by the observer's right eye, and vice versa. Variants of the system can have two convergent viewing tubes or a trapezoid frame with a viewing aperture in one side.
