PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer method of elements which makes efficient transfer possible and is suitable for mass production. SOLUTION: In transferring the elements arrayed on a first substrate onto a second substrate, the elements are previously arrayed across a photocatalyst layer and an organic matter layer on the first substrate and are irradiated with UV rays, by which the elements are peeled from the first substrate. A transparent substrate through which the UV rays transmit is used as the first substrate. The photocatalyst layer contains, for example, titanium oxide as a material containing a photocatalyst effect. The organic matter layer contains, for example, a polyimide as organic matter. The irradiation with the UV rays is efforted by using a UV lamp unit and the elements to be transferred are simultaneously irradiated with the UV rays in correspondence thereto. |
