PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor luminescent device usable in the outdoors by surely connecting light emitting diodes as a light source to a light emission rod. SOLUTION: This device has a socket 2 mounted to the base end of the light emission rod 1 for reflecting light transmitted through its inside to the outside, the light emitting diodes 5 installed in the socket 2 and used as the light source for feeding the light to the base end part of the rod 1, and a seal part 14 for carrying out waterproofing by covering the diodes 5 and conductive exposed parts of wires connected to the diodes 5. A cap member 10 removable with the diodes 5 attached is mounted to the rear part of the socket 2.
