<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform adjustment processing at a high speed. SOLUTION: An automatic adjustment apparatus comprises: an IC card processing section 19 for obtaining usage information from an IC card 5, the information including a type of IC card 5 and information on a usable section in accordance with the type of card, a magnetic head 22 for obtaining usage information of a magnetic card inputted into the apparatus for adjusting a shortfall; and a CPU 42 for executing a control program. When the presence or absence of the shortfall is judged based on the usage information obtained from the IC card 5 and there is a shortfall, the program performs a subtraction adjustment of the shortfall from remaining amount information included in the usage information obtained from the magnetic card 3. When printing on the magnetic card 3 is impossible, the program transfers the remaining amount information from the magnetic card 3 used for adjustment to the IC card 5, so that the IC card is returned and the magnetic card 3 is discarded.</p> |
