PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for identifying an on-vehicle computer user by which labor of performing input operation of an ID password for identifying the user is eliminated and a user can be identified by a simple method without using a private ID recording medium. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a means for reading memory data in a telephone set 10 connected to an on-vehicle computer 1 and a means for comparing a specific data item in this memory data with identification data registered in the on-vehicle computer 1 corresponding to this data item, and judges the propriety of use permission of the on-vehicle computer corresponding to this comparing result. |
