DATABASE MANAGING DEVICE, METHOD, PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete a scan of a database (DB) and selective specific processing in a short time. SOLUTION: While the DB having a hierarchical structure is scanned by reference to a hierarchy order table prescribing access order in units of individual segments of the DB, it is judged whether respective occurrences of segments having deletion standards registered in a deletion standard table meet deletion standards and when the deletion standard is met, a table is generated by deleting a segment which does not have its deletion standard registered in the deletion standard table and has no segment in a related lower layer or has its segment in the related lower layer having no deletion standard registered from the hierarchy order table when the occurrences are deleted, thereby scanning the DB by using the table. The respective occurrences which are hatched in the figure are excluded from access objects to shorten the processing time.
