The invention concerns a method and a device for separating marked particles suspended in a viscous medium. The invention is characterized in that it consists in: subjecting (A) the marked particles (PM) to a field on non-stationary forces to generate a continuous rotational or reciprocating movement of the particles and maintaining (B) said field of forces to generate by hydrodynamic interaction an increase in the diffusivity of the marked particles and separating a zone enriched in marked particles. The invention is applicable to liquid phase chromatography for separating magnetically marked cells.
