PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle information providing device capable of properly discriminating consecutive reproduction of information on the way of reproduction or reproduction of new information depending on a state after the interruption of information reproduction due to an engine stop. SOLUTION: In the case of reproducing contents according to a program guide describing the contents themselves and a reproduction sequence, a stop time of an engine is counted, when the engine is stopped during execution of the program guide and then restarted again after that, and whether or not the program guide before engine stop is to be continuously executed even after engine restart is discriminated. Thus, after interruption of the program guide execution due to the engine stop, the consecutive execution of the program guide on the way of execution or new execution of a new program guide can properly be discriminated depending on the state, and it is prevented that a sense of incongruity is given to a user even when contents after reproduction are again reproduced after the engine restart and before the engine stop or contents going to be reproduced are missing. |
