PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply handle a huge amount of appreciation data such as image data in excess of the capacity of a recording medium. SOLUTION: A digital camera 10 photographs an object and records image data S in a medium 12. When a user 1 requests a photo shop 2 to store the medium 12, the photo shop 2 reads the image data S from the medium 12, deletes the image data S from the medium 12 and stores the image data S in a storage system 23. On the other hand, the storage system 23 generates thumbnail picture data TS from the read image data S, records the data TS in the medium 12 and gives the medium 12 to the user 1. Since the free capacity of the medium 12 can be reserved and the user 1 can easily recognize which kind of the image data S the photo shop 2 stores, the image data S can easily be managed. |
