PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen the wiping width between a contact point and an electrode surface for effective self-cleaning, related to an electric connector wherein electrical connection is established with an opponent connector, by pressurizing the contact point of a contact piece against the electrode surface of the opponent connector. SOLUTION: There are provided a leading projection 4 and a contact piece 5 which contacts an electrode surface 81 of an opponent connector B when the leading projection 4 is inserted in a recess 6 of the opponent connector B. There are provided guide means 41 and 62 wherein the leading projection 4 inserted in the recess 6 is advanced toward a moving end point from a moving start point in the recess 6, so that a contact point 54 slides on the electrode surface 81, and locking means 43 and 64 which prevent coming-off of the leading projection 4 from the recess 6 when the leading projection 4 reaches the moving end point.
