<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for forming images, which can inexpensively output stable image density in small size, without contamination on developer regulating members and a developer holder, and to provide a developer used for the method and the apparatus. SOLUTION: A development apparatus is provided with the first regulating member 17 for regulating a quantity of the developer held and carried by the developer holder 15 and a developer accommodating part 16a for accommodating the developer scraped by the first regulating member. The developer accommodating part has a second regulating member 23, disposed on the upstream side in the carrying direction of the developer in the developer holder 15 from the first regulating member 17. A gap C in between the second regulating member and the developer holder is set, so as to regulate the passage of an increment of the developer, when the concentration of toner of the developer in the developer holder 15 increases and the thickness of a layer of the developer increases. Electric field is formed between the first regulating member 17 and the developer holder 15.</p> |
