PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow quickly and easily dealing with a paper jam. SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus 100 is provided with a pair of fixing rollers 20, rotatably supported on a stationary frame 10 and a pair of feeding rollers 60 disposed on the downstream side of a pair of the fixing rollers 20. A pair of the feeding rollers 60 comprises the feed roller 62 supported on the stationary frame 10 and the feed roller 64 supported on a movable unit 50, turnably supported on the stationary frame 10. The movable unit 50 is biased regularly, by spring force of a torsion coil spring 55, so as to be swung in one direction and positioned at an activated position, where the feeding roller 64 is pressed by the feed roller 62. If the movable unit 50 is swung from the activated position in another direction, the feed roller 64 is separated from the feed roller 62.
