PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor which makes it possible to obtain the photoreceptor which is less changed with lapse of time right after formation and has improved electrical characteristics and more particularly a higher sensitivity. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor is a method of manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor provided with a photosensitive layer including at least an azo-base charge generating material and charge transfer material on a conductive substrate, in which the extreme surface layer of the photoreceptor is applied and dried and is then subjected to photoirradiation of 15,000 to 1,000,000 lux.minute.
